2020 Vision
{entry ~ New Year’s Day 2020}
From the very moment that God created us. . . to this very year, this day, this moment . . . we’ve been very blessed. Dear reader, we are truly blessed.
We are God’s Elect. Chosen. And set apart by The Lord Himself. That’s really the only trait that truly gives us value. Though that’s more than enough.
Truth is a thing of beauty. And it’s an amazing gift to see things as they really are.
Saved from our former lives and our former selves; verily, saved from the flames of Hell ~ ~ ~ Mind you, not spared by anything resembling good behavior or righteous conduct on our part, but by the grace freely given to us through salvation in Christ.
The Way, provided by God.
Jesus.
{{ Can I get a resounding “PRAISE THE LORD” here ?!? }}
At just the right time, Jesus came to Earth. Spending about thirty- three years with us, He performed miracles and conveyed The Good News for our benefit. And truth be told ~ Jesus did a lot, and endured a lot for us, even before sacrificing Himself for our sins. For years upon years, He put up with a tremendous amount of crap from people. Verbal abuse and simple stupidity surrounded Him. Thirty~ three years. Til one night, at the appointed time, after seriously stressing the fate He knew He must embrace for people hardly worthy, Jesus was arrested and mocked, tortured. . . and finally crucified.
Then, he arose from that death on the third day, just as He promised us.
Now not only should we treasure the Salvation that was gifted to us, dear reader, but the ability that God gave us to embrace it. {Most aren’t, you know.} Yet here we are. Gifted by His Holy Spirit with a vision of whatever past, present, and future that God deems befitting.
In truth, we should be reflecting on this constantly. For if anything could ever be considered as incredible or miraculous, dear reader, this is it. That above everything and everyone else, there exists One Perfect, Sovereign God that deliberately loves each of us to the great extent that He does. Amazing.
Mind you all, not that The Lord needed us for anything, for God doesn’t need anyone or anything. But only in order that we could share in a love with Our Creator, that we’ll never been worthy of.
And not only should we rest assured in the salvation He’s provided us, but in that love The Good Lord continually has for us . . . knowing that God is forever looking out for our well~ being, knowing that God has everything under control. Our Lord alone reigns Sovereign over everything, and rightfully so. No one compares to Him, and no other love can compare to the love that God has for all of us.
So ~ ~ ~ what should be our response to all of this? What lives shall we live? Are we currently being good stewards of the freedom God has given us, or are we consistently taking liberties? As we leave our pasts behind us, we need to draw close to Our Father, striving to be more like Him to the very best of our abilities. Plus, we need to rely on The Holy Spirit in every little thing that we do, in order that we can live our lives exactly as we’re meant to, on point. Try it. The Good Lord is more than worthy of our best, and this is the perfect time to be living for Him above everything else. Think perhaps that’s the reason I’m writing these words at this particular time, that you may be subsequently reading these words at the precise time that you are? I’m telling you now, dear reader, it’s more than a mere possibility.
Mind you, wondrous events are on your horizon, and I’m not uttering the same words to you as I would have twenty years ago, or even ten. Speaking of this precise moment in time, I’m saying that it’s pivotal right now, whether you recognize it at this moment or not. Though some alarms may be silent at first ~ You’ll see. It’s fact, and it’s crucial.
Today may very well be a new day, bringing in an entirely new year . . . different than any of us have experienced thus far. I would say that there’s a moment on the horizon, when we had best get right, and take notice of the signs ahead. But the truth is, that time is NOW . Believe me as I say that with the printing of these pages, you have my benediction. I pray that you can hear me in this moment, and take the preceding words to heart. Pray. Meditate. And by all means, stay incredibly close to The Lord.
God bless you, dear reader, and Happy New Year!
I wish you all the best ~
From Deuteronomy, Chapter 10 {NKJ}:
12“And now, Israel, what does The Lord your God require of you, but to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve The Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13and to keep the commandments of The Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good? 14Indeed, Heaven and the highest heavens belong to The Lord your God, also the Earth with all that is in it.”
